Our First Blog!!!

Hello Beauties!
FitnCurlyMojo & LovelyCurlyElle here, and welcome to our blog! We created this blog to help encourage women to embrace health and natural beauty. A goal of ours is to educate and also learn about the topics that make us beautiful Inside and Outside. We believe that to have true beauty, one needs to work on both of these ‘sides’. So, we hope to showcase the aspects that we feel makes us beautiful through 4 themes: Natural Hair, Health & Fitness, Charity, and Mind & Spirit.

Natural Hair
The Dictionary defines ‘natural’ as:
1.  Existing in or formed by nature
2.  Of or pertaining to nature; natural beauty
3.  Having or undergone little or no processing and containing no chemical additives

We believe that all natural hair textures have the potential to be beautiful with a little TLC. Since we both have been naturally curly for 5+ years now, we understand that trying to have managed curls without using chemicals is pretty much impossible. Under this theme, we will discuss the products we have tried that help us tame our manes. Also, we would like to add that different products work for different textures of hair. We will help distinguish which products will work for which textures. A popular curly hair classification system can be found on www.naturallycurly.com.

Health & Fitness
Your body is your temple and we would like to help you care for it. By respecting your body, both your Inside and Outside beauty will shine. Keeping yourself healthy through proper diet, nutrition and exercise should be put into an everyday routine; which is easier than most think. We will dispel the myths and crazes of most of the health fads that we come across.

Charity
We believe that charity is something that everyone should be involved in, whether it’s through donations or time. If we support our communities, not only will we feel good about ourselves, we will be making an impact on the world. “Feed the Hungry! Help those in trouble! Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you shall be bright as day. And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too; and you will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.” (Isaiah 58: 10-11)

Mind & Spirit
We are spiritual people and we encourage spirituality. We believe that you should be faithful to your God and encompass the teachings in your life. We want to share our beliefs and testimonies with you as Christians. We also want to write about caring for your mind through techniques such as stress reducing breathing, meditation and anger management.
